Applicants seeking entry into the Flying Branch must fall within the age range of 20 to 24 years. The AFCAT Exam Pattern 2024:
All candidates who have registered are required to participate in the online AFCAT test. Candidates who choose the Ground Duty (Technical) branch must take both the AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). The AFCAT exam consists of four sections: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test. The test lasts for two hours and contains 100 questions, with a total of 300 marks. The EKT exam is conducted for 45 minutes and includes questions from Mechanical, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics. The EKT test paper consists of 50 questions, with a maximum of 150 marks. The marking scheme for AFCAT is provided below:
- Candidates will receive three marks for each correct answer,
- While one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- Unattempted questions will not be awarded any marks.
